Weekly Managed Plugin Updates Every plugin is updated on a weekly schedule, tested automatically before being applied, and rolled back immediately if anything causes a problem. This is the single most important thing you can do to keep a WordPress site secure and stable.

Nightly Backups Your site is backed up every night. If something goes wrong — a bad update, a security incident, a mistake — I can restore from a recent backup quickly.

SSL Certificate Every site includes SSL, keeping visitor data encrypted and your site showing as secure in the browser.

Content Delivery Network Your site’s assets are distributed across servers around Australia so pages load fast regardless of where your visitors are.

Staging Environment Every hosted site gets a private staging environment — a copy of your live site where updates and new features are tested before going live. Nothing hits your live site untested.

Premium Plugin Licences Your plan covers the annual renewal of all core premium plugins your site depends on. No surprise invoices, no broken forms because a licence lapsed.

Site Migration

Moving your existing site to my hosting is straightforward. I handle everything, migrating your files and database, updating all software, testing for issues, and coordinating with your domain registrar to make the switch seamless.

One-off migration fee: $150

Got a question about our hosting management plans?

Can I Pay Yearly?

Yes, and it’s the best value option. Annual plans save around 10% compared to monthly billing.

What if my site breaks?

If it’s a quick fix it’s covered as part of your plan. Anything more involved is quoted and approved before work starts — no surprise invoices.

Do you guarantee uptime?

I use enterprise-grade infrastructure and do everything possible to keep your site online. No host can guarantee 100% uptime — infrastructure outages, malicious attacks, and DNS issues are outside anyone’s control — but issues are rare and resolved quickly.

Can I cancel?

Yes, at any time. All fees to the date of cancellation must be paid in full before site files are released.

Do you include email?

No. Email is managed separately — I can help you set up Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 if needed.

What if I need more studio time?

Additional time beyond your plan allocation is billed at $130/hour, invoiced monthly.

I’m expecting a traffic spike — will my hosting cope?

Let me know in advance and I can temporarily increase the resources available to your site for that period.

What plugins are covered under my plan?

Your plan covers the core premium plugins your site was built with — Gravity Forms, Advanced Custom Fields, and your full build stack. Plugins specific to your site’s unique functionality — booking systems, ecommerce integrations — are renewed separately and quoted individually.

Can we update our own plugins?

Technically yes — but it’s one of the most common causes of a WordPress site breaking, and it happens more often than you’d think.

WordPress plugins are updated constantly. Most sites have between 15 and 25 plugins installed, and each one is built by a different developer. When updates are released — which happens multiple times a week across a typical plugin stack — there is always a chance that a new version conflicts with another plugin, your theme, or the version of PHP running on your server. The result can range from a broken layout to a completely blank site.

The other problem is frequency. To keep your site properly secure you should be running updates every week without fail. That is 50+ update sessions a year, each one carrying some level of risk. Most business owners do it sporadically — which means plugins go weeks or months without updates, leaving known security vulnerabilities unpatched and sitting in plain sight.

The managed update system I use tests every update before it is applied and automatically rolls back anything that causes a problem. Your site stays current every single week without you logging in, without the risk of something breaking at the wrong moment, and without it being on your to-do list.

If you want to keep managing updates yourself that is entirely your call — but it is worth knowing what you are taking on.
